If you are a graduate in foreign countries can your education be recognised in Norway through the KUT. This is a national body for the quality of higher education, and a professional independent body under the Ministry of education.
NOKUTs’s purpose is to ensure and promote the quality of higher education and college graduate through to:
supervise and stimulate the development of quality in education at Norwegian universities, colleges and trade schools
approve the higher education taken abroad and inform about other authentication and authorization schemes for foreign education
NOKUTs work to help ensure that the community can have confidence in the quality of Norwegian higher education and college graduate, as well as approved foreign higher education.
KUT was established as an independent quality assurance agency in 2003 by the introduction of the quality reform in higher education. NOKUTs authority, and instruments are regulated in the law on universities and colleges, and the law on the College graduate with corresponding regulations issued by the Ministry of education. NOKUTs professional independence means that the decision of the supervisory issues and decisions on the approval of the foreign education can not be overprøves by the Ministry.
